Ngeno travellers is a Ugandan tour and travel Company (Registration No. 8002000344436) providing services ranging from Gorilla tracking, Bird watching, Wildlife and nature sightseeing, Cultural excursions, Hotel and accommodation, Visa processing, Travel booking, Car hire and rental to honeymoon packages.
Ngeno Travellers is a fast growing small to medium enterprise in the Ugandan Tourism industry birthed from the heart of Kalaki district in Eastern Ugandan – the home of the Kumam tribe. Growing up as young boys grazing cattle in the grasslands of Awiagungo, we experienced early-on the diversity and mystical range of birds such as the standard-winged nightjar, short-tailed warbler; primates such as monkeys; reptiles such as crocodiles and herbivores such as hippos. Through shared experiences and hair rising but exciting moments, a dream was nurtured to adventure diff¬erent wild lands in the country and share with the world the beautiful scenery, amazing sounds of di¬fferent birds and animals not only in the small Olyanai swamp in Kalaki district but Uganda as a country. 20 years later, Ngeno Travellers was birthed….
Ngeno is a Kumam word translated to mean “to know”. Ngeno’s ultimate goal is to facilitate and provide an avenue to discover the hidden treasures of the wild. The mind therapy freely overfed in the wild by nature is only achieved by those who seek an experience like the local boys in Olyanai village.
Ngeno’s top priority is to facilitate our client’s adventure and exploits by providing personalized and well though-out end-to-end tourism services. MEET OUR TEAM
Ngeno operations are supported by a managerial team of 8 people with a combined experience of 10 years in specialised disciplines such as cultural immersion, bird watching, gorilla tracking, hotel and hospitality… The team is multi-lingual speaking 15 Ugandan local dialects, English, Kiswahili, French, Spanish, Arabic, German, Italian and Portuguese.
Ewalu hails from Kalaki district Eastern Uganda and is one of the founding partners of Ngeno travellers. Ewalu speaks 6 local dialects and is fluent in English & Kiswahili. He is a passionate traveller both on the local and international scene. He enjoys gorilla tracking and co-founded Ngeno Travellers with the hope of sharing his wild adventures in the gorilla sanctuaries of Uganda, Kenya and Congo.

He is a travel enthusiast and passionate about experiencing different cultural immersions. His extensive knowledge of bird watching is indisputable and would be most pleased to share with you his bird watching adventures in places such as Mt. Elgon, Semuliki, Lake Mburo National park inhabiting birds like Rufous-bellied Heron, Bateleur, Coqui Francolin, Grey Crowned Crane…With experience understanding over 50 bird species, time with him makes every moment worthwhile as birder
