3 Days Murchison Falls National Park Safari- Valentine Getway

Day 1: Drive from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park with a stopover for Rhino Trekking and a Visit to the Top of the falls

You will wake up early in the morning to get ready for the wild life valentine get away experience, have a cup of coffee from home or your hotel and later on be picked by our driver guide from a central pick up point.

You shall drive north through the Kampala- Gulu Highway to Murchison Falls National Park. This journey is about 5 to 7 hours from Kampala, you shall make a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will have time to trek the rhinos on foot in Uganda’s only Rhino sanctuary.

The drive from Kampala to the rhino sanctuary is 3 hours, a stopover will be made for lunch. You shall later drive for a while and on arrival at the park, check in at the park gates and drive to the top of the falls. At the top of the falls you shall witness how the Nile waters surge into a 7 meter gorge with a 40 meter drop to form the most powerful waterfalls. And then drive to your booked accommodation for dinner. After refreshing at the lodge we shall have a camp fire experience accompanied by different board games and overnight at Red chilli Rest Camp on the southern side of the park.

Day 2:Morning Game Drive and Boat cruise to the Bottom of the Falls

You shall wake up early in the morning, have breakfast at the lodge and then be picked up by your tour guide for your early morning game through the park. Expect to sight a number of animals such as elephant, giraffes, buffalos, warthogs, Heart beasts among others, you shall also see a number of birds on your game drive through Uganda’s oldest and largest park. After your game drive you shall drive back to the lodge for early lunch, relax as you get ready for the wildlife boat cruise.

After lunch you will drive to the peer / docking area and get on to the boat cruise that leads you to the bottom of the falls, On your boat cruise you shall sight a number of land mammals and aquatic life down to the bottom of the falls, buffalos, elephants, water bucks taking water at the shores to cool off the heat. A profusion of crocodiles and schools of hippos will be sighted along the shores of the Nile, birds like the pied king fishers, African fish, shoebill, goliath heron, great blue turaco among others.
You will then drive back to the lodge for leisure as you wait for dinner and later camp fire and board games.

Day 3 : Drive back to Kampala

After your amazing wildlife valentine safari you shall have breakfast at the lodge and later check out of the lodge driving towards Kampala through the Kampala Gulu -Highway, a stopover will be made for lunch and later proceed to Kampala with a drop off to a central point.
